We combine an inventive and user-centred approach to design with an understanding of current technologies to create digital experiences for today’s audiences. We make multitouch touchtable and touchscreen applications, multi-screen video installations, interactive installations using cameras or other input methods, virtual reality programs for Oculus Rift or Google Cardboard, apps, websites and new forms of media designed for narrative environments.
Our services include concept development, UI and UX design, software development, information design and content research, video editing and motion graphics, sound design, 3D design and prototyping, user-testing and quality assurance, hardware specification, project management and consultation.
Most of our work is for museums, cultural centres, foyers and public spaces. We work on projects both large and small in scope with a diverse range of clients from the cultural and creative sector – from architects and interior designers to curators and exhibition developers.
Our clients include the Australian War Memorial, Museum Victoria, State Library of Victoria, National Museum of Australia, National Archives of Australia, Australian Museum, State Library of New South Wales, Historic Houses Trust, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Newcastle Museum, Taronga Zoo, Gascoyne Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre, Telus Spark - Calgary Science Centre, Queensland Museum, VicUrban, and The International Cricket Hall of Fame.
Our projects are managed from project commencement to installation by Michael Thomas Hill, creative director, and Indigo Hanlee and Melanie Touw, design producers.
As part of their roles as design producers, Indigo and Melanie create all graphic outputs including conceptual and spatial designs, wireframes, user interfaces, 2D animations, motion graphics and illustrations.
Our programming team features two interaction designers, Trent Brooks and Richard Wong, and one software engineer, Himal Bhattarai, and has a technical skillset that covers all the key areas of contemporary software development including gestural computing, multitouch interfaces, iOS and Android applications, CMS and data management, static and responsive web applications, generative graphics and animations, and data visualisations.
