By artists Indigo Hanlee, Michael Thomas Hill and Lightwell, An Earlier Conversation is a permanent artwork commissioned for the Hangang Art Park in Seoul, South Korea.
11 copper stalks with gramophone horns stand together in the middle of the park. The horns play an immersive soundscape; snippets of bees, birds and old vinyl music that mix the natural with the man-made.
They continue an earlier conversation between the river, its visitors and those that call it their home.
This artwork was installed in August 2018 on the Han River, South Korea.
Special thanks to Jisuk Han, Gary Warner and the Hangang Art Park team for all their help.
